Import Package

Why?

You may use Import Package from the Control Panel to import and entire course. Like Course Copy, you can choose what items to Import into the new course. The Export process will save a ZIP file onto your computer in a location chosen by you. This is the "Package" you will later Import back into your new Blackboard course shell. The ZIP file is not usable offline, and may look confusing if you open it, just a warning.

Implications for Teaching and Learning.

The zip package can be saved as a replica of your course as documentation for evidence of teaching, to meet institutional record retention policies and in case of student grade challenges. When imported, this saves you time on relocating materials used from semester to semester.
