If you want to paste text from another application

  1. Please see #7 for a note about pasting from Microsoft Word.

Go to the Control Panel > Content Area you wish to add text to.

  2. Click on the add Item button

  3. Give your item a title.
  4. Place your cursor in the large white text editing box, and click.

  5. Using your mouse or keyboard, copy text from another plain text editor application (e.g. Notepad, Wordpad, Email). NOTE: Pasting from other applications (Microsoft Word, Wordperfect, etc.) may result in code behind the format of your text that makes it format on the page improperly. A suggestion is to create your content in Windows Notepad or an HTML editor (Front Page, Dreamweaver, or NVU - free). Use the Paste button in the editing tool bar (fourth button on the second row, it looks like a clipboard).
  6. Or, you can use CONTROL-V on the keyboard to Paste.
  7. Note: Copying text directly from Microsoft Word is not recommended due to formatting issues. (See #5) If pasting from Microsoft Word, you can paste it into Notepad to preserve your formatting but remove the Word code. Alternatively, you can post from HTML if you are familiar with it.
