Course Grading Policy
Every student wants to know in the beginning of any class where is the grading policy and what is it. Put the bottom line upfront, the grading policy should be in a prominent spot. Most faculty have it in the syllabus or create a new menu item to cover just their grading matrix. Try to simplify the grading structure and give examples of how the grades are calculated. If have multiple assignments and different weights for each category, you might want to add an example to show how the grades are calculate to help the students see what the overall weight of any assignment effects their grade.
