Back to Options in the Control Panel
Once you see a new semester course in your Course List, you may go into your old semester course's Control Panel, and use Course Copy to copy all or some of the content to the new semester.
This solution is ideal for those who are teaching the same course content between semesters. It saves you time recreating content. Content can also be easily edited.
1. Go to the Blackboard course you want to copy from (your old course).
2. Go to Control Panel.
3. Under Course Options, click the Course Copy link.
4. Click the Copy Course Materials into an Existing Course link.
5. Click Browse to find your destination course ID, which is the course you want to copy to (your new course). You can also search by your last name and then select the correct course.
6. Check the type of content your want to copy. (e.g., course Materials, assignments, gradebook items and settings.
Note: To avoid duplication of menu buttons, be sure to check “settings”.
7. Click the Submit Button. Your course copy is now complete. You will see This course copy action has been successfully queued. An email will be sent when the process is complete.
8. You will receive an Email notice shortly on the status of your course copy action.
