Why Blogging is an Effective Instructional Choice
Blogging as an educational tool works very well with two different learning theories: constructivism and connectionism. This page has some basic information on these learning theories, and explains how blogging can be used to support this type of learning.
Blogs can best be used in your class for communication, reflection, and synthesis of information. These objectives can be accomplished by using either a coursewide blog, or individual blogs. Here are some assignment ideas for each of these options.
